1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NutriLuma ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and NutriLuma (a product of Plaskett International College), registered in the United Kingdom.

2. Service Description

NutriLuma is a nutritional education platform that:

  • Enables users to log meals via photo, voice, or text
  • Provides comprehensive nutrient analysis
  • Offers educational content about nutrition
  • Generates personalized insights and pattern reports

The Service is designed for educational purposes to help users learn about nutrition through their eating patterns.

3. Eligibility

To use NutriLuma, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Account Terms

Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

One Account Per Person

Each person may only maintain one account. Sharing accounts is prohibited.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required for the trial.

Paid Subscriptions

After the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fees.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access until then.

Refunds

Refunds are not provided for subscription payments. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and access will continue until the end of your current billing period.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on others' intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise security
  • Scrape, crawl, or collect data without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Create multiple accounts or share account access
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Use the Service to provide medical advice to others without appropriate qualifications

7. Educational Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: NutriLuma is an educational tool, not a medical device.

The Service:

  • Does NOT diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any disease or medical condition
  • Does NOT provide medical advice
  • Is NOT a substitute for professional medical care
  • Is NOT intended for use in clinical diagnosis or treatment

The nutritional information and educational ranges provided are for educational purposes only. They are based on nutritional science research but are not medical recommendations.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have health conditions, are pregnant, nursing, or taking medications.

8. Intellectual Property

Our Content

The Service, including its design, features, content, and educational materials, is owned by NutriLuma and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (meal photos, descriptions). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use it to provide and improve the Service.

Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

10. Termination

By You

You may close your account at any time through account settings or by contacting support.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Abuse the Service or other users

We will provide notice where practical, except in cases of serious violations.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. You may export your data before termination. We may retain certain data as required by law.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Nutrient calculations will be 100% accurate
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • Results from using the Service will be accurate or reliable

While we strive for accuracy, nutrient analysis involves estimation and may not reflect exact values.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NUTRILUMA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
  • Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service
  • Any health outcomes or decisions made based on information from the Service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages. In such cases, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence.
